As per SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu police had got a tip off regarding video shoot at a cinema hall in Rajpura. As per information Singer Gurnam Bhullar alongwith Video Director Khushpal Singh and around 40 others were shooting for their song at Prime Mall, Rajpura in Violation of Covid-19 Guidelines and that they do not have any valid permission for the same.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took stock of the situation in various parts of the country and the preparedness of various States. The Prime Minister directed that we must reiterate the need to observe personal hygiene and social discipline in public places. The awareness about Covid should be disseminated widely and a continuous emphasis on preventing spread of the infection should be laid. He said that there is no room for any complacency in this regard.
The Prime Minister appreciated the concerted efforts of the Centre, State and local authorities in containing the pandemic situation in Delhi. He further directed that similar approach should be adopted with other State Governments in containing the Covid-19 pandemic in entire NCR area.

E Registration Mandatory for Road Travellers Entering Punjab

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Govt has strongly advised road travellers entering or transiting through Punjab to self-register, either through COVA app or through a weblink, https://cova.punjab.gov.in/registration, before embarking on the journey. The objective of e-registration is to avoid any inconvenience to the travellers due to crowding and long queues at the border check points.
After registration the primary traveller will receive a confirmation link through SMS.
This will be followed by basic medical screening. After successful medical screening, the process is over. In case a passenger exhibits Covid symptoms, the health staff at the Border Check Point will assist and guide the passenger(s).

The chief ministers of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana arrived at a consensus to cancel the kanwar yatra this year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The matter was discussed by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat with his Uttar Pradesh and Haryana counterparts Yogi Adityanath and Manohar Lal Khattar via video-conference.
All of them agreed that the annual kanwar yatra, which sees a huge congregation of Shiva devotees in Haridwar, should be cancelled this year.
Saints and seers are also in favour of the yatra being cancelled to prevent huge gatherings of kanwariyas in Haridwar.
The chief minister said he had also spoken to Home Minister Amit Shah, who advised him to take a decision after thinking over it.
Rawat will soon speak to the chief ministers of Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan over the issue.

Amritsar continue to top the COVID-19 tally in the state with 754 Punjab on Saturday reported six fatalities due to coronavirus and 120 fresh cases
The death toll in the state now is 98 with the coronavirus tally reaching 3,952.
Four deaths were reported in Amritsar and one each in Ludhiana and Kapurthala
The state has reported 812 fresh COVID-19 cases since June 15.
On Saturday, Jalandhar reported 47 cases, followed by Amritsar 21, Sangrur 14, Mohali 11, Ludhiana and Patiala seven each, Kapurthala four, Pathankot, Tarn Taran and Fatehgarh Sahib two each, and Moga, Mansa and Barnala one each, the bulletin said.
Seven of the new patients had a travel history to Delhi and Gurgaon.
Forty-two coronavirus patients were discharged, taking the number of people cured of the infection to 2,678.
The state now has 1,176 active COVID-19 cases
Amritsar continued to top the COVID-19 tally in the state with 754 cases, followed by 536 in Jalandhar, 496 in Ludhiana, 213 in Mohali , 206 in Patiala, 204 in Sangrur, 180 in Tarn Taran, 176 in Gurdaspur, 167 in Pathankot, 155 in Hoshiarpur, 121 in SBS Nagar, 94 in Faridkot, 87 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 84 in Rupnagar, 79 in Muktsar, 75 in Moga, 64 in Bathinda, 62 each in Ferozepur and Kapurthala, 55 in Fazilka, 39 in Mansa and 43 in Barnala, it said.
Five patients are critical and on ventilator support, while 21 are on oxygen support, the bulletin said.
So far, 2,35,700 samples have been taken for testing.

Ahead of the sixth International Day of Yoga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged people to observe the day from the confines of their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Noting that this year’s theme is ‘Yoga at home’ and ‘Yoga with family’, he said due to the pandemic, it has to be observed indoors.
Though yoga day celebrations are an occasion of mass gatherings, due to extraordinary times, this year people should observe the day at their homes, he said in a video message.
Yoga Day is being observed on June 21.

Punjab health authorities on Monday reported four more fatalities along with 127 fresh coronavirus infections, bringing the total in the state to 3,267 cases and 71 deaths.
According to a health bulletin, all four deaths were recorded in #Amritsar.
The maximum 33 people tested positive for the infection in #Ludhiana, one of the worst-hit districts.
Twenty-three cases were reported from #Jalandhar; 20 from Amritsar; 15 from Sangrur; 11 from #Mohali; 10 from Patiala; two each from Pathankot, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur and Ferozepur; and one each from Rupnagar, Moga, Gurdaspur, Faridkot, Tarn Taran an SBS Nagar.
Of them, 17 people had travel history to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Pune, Haryana and Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, 87 patients recovered from the infection and discharged from various hospitals in the state. The number of cured persons reached 2,443 with this, the bulletin said.
There are 753 active cases in the state as of now.
Amritsar continued to lead the COVID-19 tally in the state with 633 coronavirus cases, followed by 387 in Ludhiana; 347 in Jalandhar; 169 in Gurdaspur; 168 in Tarn Taran; 175 in Mohali; 169 in Patiala; 158 in Sangrur; 145 in Pathankot; 141 in Hoshiarpur; 120 in SBS Nagar; 87 in Faridkot; 80 in Rupnagar; 77 in Fatehgarh Sahib; 73 in Muktsar; 71 in Moga; 57 in Bathinda; 50 in Fazilka; 51 in Ferozepur; 44 in Kapurthala; 34 in Mansa; and 31 in Barnala.

A total of 1,88,699 samples have been taken so far for testing, it added.

Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh in a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi pointed towards a ‘large-scale devastation and distress’ caused to the state due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Centre’s urgent intervention was needed to avert any major socio-economic upheaval in the coming future, as also to assure our next generations of safe living and security of livelihood, said the CM demanding an aid of Rs 80,845 crore.
The Punjab government feels that states alone cannot meet the new challenges, therefore, in the true spirit of cooperative federalism, needs the Union government to assist them in an unusually big way, which the country has never seen since the Independence in 1947, the CM said. central schemes should be 100 per cent funded by the Centre in 2020-21
The Punjab government also sought Rs 6,603 crore for improvement in the state’s public health infrastructure.
Besides seeking Rs 5,040 crore as fiscal assistance for the welfare of migrant labourers, the CM demanded that the Inter-State Migrant Workers Act should be revamped to safeguard their interests and basic rights.
