President Donald Trump has said it is a great honour that Facebook has ranked him number one and Prime Minister Narendra Modi number two on their popularity on the social networking site, ahead of his maiden visit to India.
President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will pay a state visit to India on February 24 and 25 at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi
Taking to Twitter, Prez claimed to be the number one on Facebook, citing a remark of Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the social media company.
“Great honor, I think? Mark Zuckerberg recently stated that “Donald J. Trump is Number 1 on Facebook. Number 2 is Prime Minister Modi of India.” Actually, I am going to India in two weeks. Looking forward to it!,” Trump tweeted on Saturday.
This is not the first time that the US President has claimed to be the number one and Prime Minister Modi number two on their popularity on Facebook.
Last month in an interview to CNBC TV on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump said: “I’m No.1 on Facebook, you know who’s no.2? Modi from India”.
During his visit to India, Trump, in addition to New Delhi, will also visit Ahmedabad to address a joint public meeting with Modi at a newly-built stadium.

The Punjab Election Commission has partnered with the Facebook in order to reach out to potential young voters ahead of the 2017 assembly polls, Chief Electoral Officer VK Singh said today.
A reminder to register their names for the forthcoming elections will appear on the timeline of all Facebook users of 18 years of age and above in Punjab on October 6.
This drive is part of the partnership between Facebook India and CEO of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand which are going to polls in 2017.
From October 6-9, Facebook users in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand, who are 18 years and above, will receive a reminder in their ‘News Feed’ to register to vote for a day.
By clicking on the ‘Register Now’ button, users will be directed to the National Voters’ Services Portal which will guide them through the registration process.
The feature will be available for people on Facebook in Punjab on the October 6, for those in Manipur on October 7, for people in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh on October 8 and for people in Goa on October 9, the release said.
