CM Akhilesh Yadav said Social media bringing change in society:
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said social media was bringing change in society, but apprehensions of its misuse were also increasing.
“Large scale changes are taking place in the society through social media. Using this medium people are touching new avenues of economic growth. Apprehensions of its misuse are also increasing,” Akhilesh said while addressing Facebook’s ‘Boost your Business’ programme.
While terming social media as a strong medium to project their products at international level for small entrepreneurs, he said, “Social media platforms like Facebook should be used for the development of the state”.
The CM said more than 1,500 business pages have been created on Facebook for small entrepreneurs.
After hosting a series of successful events and outreach activities in cities like Kannauj, Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi, Facebook’s ‘Boost Your Business’ program has reached its last leg, Lucknow.
Under its initiative of increasing investment in small businesses in India, Facebook’s ‘Boost your Business’ has been live in Uttar Pradesh for the past six weeks.

सरकार का मीडिया के साथ नियमन का नहीं बल्कि आग्रह का संबंध है :मनीष तिवारी
सरकार का मीडिया के साथ नियमन का नहीं बल्कि आग्रह का संबंध है, इसीलिए मीडिया को, अपने लिए ,वैधानिक प्रणाली के रूप में स्व-नियमन बनाने होंगें|
सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री मनीष तिवारी ने कहा कि एक वैधानिक प्रणाली के रूप में स्व-नियमन को मुख्यधारा में लाने की प्रक्रिया समाचार माध्यम की ओर से होनी चाहिए न कि सरकार की ओर से। मंत्री महोदय ने जोर देते हुए कहा कि मीडिया के लिए सरकार की पहल एक नियमन के रूप में न होकर एक आग्रह के रूप में है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस उद्योग जगत के हितधारकों को एक समतुल्य स्तर निर्धारित करना होगा ताकि पारदर्शिता, निष्पक्षता, संयम की महत्ता को सुनिश्चित किया जा सके और सनसनी से बचा जा सके, यह सनसनी मीडिया के मुख्य संचालक के रूप में राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर इसे प्रभावित कर रही है। श्री तिवारी ने आज यहां ‘क्या मीडिया नियमन यथास्थिति का विकल्प है?’ विषय पर एक विशेष चर्चा के दौरान यह बात कही।
गौरतलब है कि बीते माह श्री तिवारी ने सोशल मीडिया के दुरूपयोग पर सवाल उठाये थे| सोशल मीडिया में उपयोगकर्ता की पहचान गुप्त रखने के नियम के दुरूपयोग रोकने के लिए नए मीडिया के लिए कुछ नियम बनाने की जरूरतपर बल दिया था|
