[New Delhi,]Centre sends Ship+Chopper +Medical Team For Fire Victims to Kollam-Kerala
The Coast Guard sent a ship and a helicopter along with a medical team to Kollam for relief work and assistance to those injured in the major fire mishap at the Puttingal Devi temple early today.
A Chetak helicopter is also being pressed into service
The team is also assisting in blood donation.

PM visited accident spot .
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited the Puttingal Devi Temple premises and took stock of the situation arising out of the mishap that claimed 100 lives and left over 383 injured.
Along with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy + State Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala
P M Modi went around the accident site littered with debris of the two buildings, including the ‘Kambapura’, storehouse where the crackers and fireworks display materials had been stocked, that were completely razed to the ground in the explosion.
The Prime Minister also saw the concrete bars, twisted wires and cables.
Later talking to reporters, Chennithala said the Prime minister had enquired about the unidentified bodies and said DNA tests should be done if necessary.
Chandy informed him that government had already taken steps in this regard.
Chennithala said the PM also enquired about the compensation to be given to those affected.
The Prime Minister later visited the Kollam district hospital to see the injured people.PM And State Govt Have Announced Compensation For Victims

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced Rs two lakh each as compensation for the next of the kin of the dead in Kollam temple fire in which 90 people have been killed.
He also announced Rs 50,000 each for the injured in the tragedy that occurred early this morning in Puttingal Devi Temple near Kollam town.350 are injured
Expressing deep anguish and shock over the disaster, he directed the Indian Air Force to ferry the injured to hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram for treatment.PM Has already directed Health Minister Nadda To Visit the site
The Prime Minister also decided to visit the temple town for taking stock of the situation and meet the injured.
