[New Delhi] Cabinet Nod To Hike Allowances Of 775 Parliamentarians
The Centre spends around Rs 2.7 lakh a month on an MP.
As of today, excluding the Speaker, the Lok Sabha has 536 MPs, including two nominated from the Anglo-Indian community. There are eight vacancies.The Upper House has 239 members.
These Parliamentarians are set to get increased allowances with the Union Cabinet today approving a proposal in this regard.
The constituency allowance,
furniture allowance and
communication expenses of the MPs would go up considerably
The parliamentary affairs ministry had proposed an increase in the constituency allowance from Rs 45,000 a month to Rs 60,000.
The ministry had also proposed that the one-time
furniture allowance be hiked to Rs one lakh from the present Rs 75,000.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had announced in his budget speech that a permanent mechanism would be set up to revise the salaries of MPs every five years, and it would be linked to inflation.

Ahead of the festive season, the Centre today cleared a proposal to give 78-day wages as productivity-linked bonus (PLB) to over 12 lakh railway employees for the fiscal 2014-15, the same as in the last three years, despite the financial crunch.
The decision will cover 12.58 lakh non-gazetted railway employees who could get up to Rs 8,975 this month as bonus.
The proposal was cleared by the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the government, the bonus is expected to motivate the employees to improve the financial position of the public transporter.
The financial implication is estimated to be Rs 1,030.02 crore.
The wage calculation ceiling prescribed for payment of PLB to the eligible non-gazetted railway employees is Rs 3500 per month.
PLB covers all non-gazetted railway employees (excluding RPF/RPSF personnel) spread over the entire country.
In 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14 also, 78-day wages were also given as PLB to railway employees.
Productivity-linked bonus is paid to railway employees each year before the Dussehra festival.

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today gave its approval for the signing of the revised Air Services Agreement (ASA) between India and Seychelles to modernize and update the existing ASA signed on 30.10.1978.
The ASA signifies an important landmark in the civil aviation relations between India and Seychelles and has the potential to spur greater trade, investment, tourism and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
As a result of this agreement, the number of flights between India and Seychelles has been increased from three per week to seven per week.

Cabinet condoles death of former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam
The Union Cabinet has expressed profound sorrow at the sad demise of former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. In a resolution passed at a special Cabinet Meeting this morning, it said, “in his passing away the country has lost a visionary scientist, a true nationalist and a great son”. The Cabinet met under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and extended its heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the Government and the entire nation.
The following is the text of the Resolution:
“Born on 15th October, 1931 at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, specialized in Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology. Dr. Kalam made significant contribution in developing India’s first indigenous Satellite Launch Vehicle and made India an exclusive member of Space Club. Popularly known as the “Missile Man of India’, Dr. Kalam was responsible for the development and operationalisation of AGNI and PRITHVI Missiles. He gave thrust to self-reliance in defence systems by introducing Light Combat Aircraft.
Dr. Kalam was the Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister and Secretary, Department of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) during 1992-99. During this period, strategic missile systems were developed and the Pokhran-II nuclear tests were conducted. Dr. Kalam had served as the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, from 1999 to 2001 and was responsible for evolving policies, strategies and missions for many development applications and piloted India Millennium Mission 2020.
In his literary pursuit, Dr. Kalam’s books – “Wings of Fire”, “India 2020 -A Vision for the New Millennium”, “My journey” and “Ignited Minds -Unleashing the power within India” became household names in India and abroad.
Dr. Kalam was passionate about transforming society through technology, in particular by inspiring the youth of India to harness science and technology for human welfare.
Dr. Kalam was the recipient of many national and international awards including honorary doctorates from 48 Universities from India and abroad. He received the country’s highest civilian Award “Bharat Ratna” in the year 1997. Eventually, from a very humble beginning, he rose to the highest office of the Country and served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. During his tenure, he was affectionately known as the People’s President.”

महंगाई से राहत के लिए केन्द्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों के महंगाई भत्ते AD A में ७% की बढ़ोत्तरी

[नई दिल्ली]केन्द्र सरकार ने अपने कर्मचारियों को महंगाई से राहत देने के लिए महंगाई भत्ते में ७% की बढ़ोत्तरी का निर्णय लिया | यह १ जुलाई से देय है | केंद्र के पेंशनधारियों के लिए भी महंगाई राहत की किश्त जारी की गई है | वेतन आयोग की सिफारिशों के अनुसार अब महंगाई भत्ते का ५०% मूल वेतन और पेंशन में जुड़ सकेगा|
प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने आज केन्द्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों के लिए महंगाई भत्ते और पेंशनधारियों के लिए महंगाई राहत की 01 जुलाई, 2014 से बकाया अतिरिक्त किस्त को जारी करने की मंजूरी दे दी है। मूल्य वृद्धि की क्षतिपूर्ति के लिए मूल वेतन/पेंशन की मौजूदा 100 प्रतिशत दर के अलावा यह 07 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि है।
यह वृद्धि स्वीकृत फार्मूले के अनुसार की गई है जो छठे केन्द्रीय वेतन आयोग की सिफारिशों पर आधारित है। वित्त वर्ष 2014-15 में महंगाई भत्ता और महंगाई राहत दोनों के कारण सरकारी खजाने पर क्रमशः लगभग 7691 करोड़ रुपये प्रतिवर्ष और 5127 करोड़ रुपये का बोझ पड़ेगा। यह जुलाई 2014 से लेकर फरवरी 2015 तक की आठ माह की अवधि के लिए है।

300 Acres Of Abandoned Airfield Land is Transferred for University in Bihar

Abandoned airfield Land has been transferred for University in Bihar,
Unused 300 acres of Defence Land, located at Panchanpur in Gayahas, been transferred for Central University .
The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for transferring 300 acres of defence land at the abandoned airfield at Panchanpur in Gaya to the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
The transfer will fulfil the requirement of land for the development of the Central University in Bihar, which will serve the national cause for quality higher education, research and training in unserved and under-served areas.
