जायदाद के बटवारे पर जब बातचीत से कोई हल नहीं निकला तो भाईयों ने बन्दूक का सहारा लिया जिसके फल स्वरुप दोनों भाईयों की मौत हो गई| ये दोनों मशहूर शराब कारोबारी पॉन्टी चड्ढा और उसके भाई हरदीप हैं| दोनों भाईयों की मौत आपसी फायरिंग में हुई.| ये घटना पॉन्टी के छतरपुर स्थित फॉर्म हाउस में दोपहर करीब 1.30 बजे हुई. फायरिंग में पॉन्टी का एक गार्ड भी घायल हुआ.बताया जा रहा है कि सारा मामला जायदाद के बंटवारे से जुड़ा है.| इस फायरिंग में दो निजी गार्ड भी जख्‍मी हो गए हैं.
सूत्रों के अनुसार पहले पॉन्‍टी ने अपने भाई को गोली मारी, उसके बाद भाई हरदीप के गार्ड ने पॉन्‍टी को गोली मार दी. इस गोलीबारी में पहले तो पॉन्‍टी के भाई हरदीप की मौत हुई और बाद में पॉन्‍टी की भी मौत हो गई|

पॉन्टी चड्ढा के यूपी की राजनीति में खासी धमक रखते हैं. वो ना सिर्फ शराब के बड़े कारोबारी हैं, बल्कि रियल इस्टेट में भी उनका दबदबा है और कई मॉल्स और मल्टीप्लेक्स[वेव्स] के वे मालिक हैं| फिल्मों में भी पॉन्टी ने पैसा लगाया है|
उनके मायावती और अखिलेश यादव सरकार से बेहद निकटता रही|
इससे पहले 5 अक्टूबर को भी पॉन्टी चड्ढा के मुरादाबाद स्थित पुश्तैनी बंगले पर फायरिंग हुई थी लेकिन उस समय इस मामले को दबा दिया गया था. उस दिन पांच फायर हुए थे और पुलिस ने ये कहकर मामला रफा-दफा कर दिया था कि पॉन्टी के भतीजे ने नई रिवाल्वर खरीदी थी जिससे टेस्टिंग करते समय फायर हो गए|पोंटी चड्डा के परिवार ने इस जायदाद से अपने सम्बन्ध भी नकार दिए थे|
चत्तर पुर फार्म हॉउस करीब 13 एकड़ में फैला हुआ है। फायरिंग की सूचना मिलने पर दिल्‍ली पुलिस की मौके पर पहुंची एक टीम द्वारा जांच जारी है|
, वकील गौरांग के हवाले से बताया जा रहा है कि पॉन्टी चड्ढा, उनके भाई हरदीप और एक बड़े भाई तीनों साथ-साथ छतरपुर के फॉर्महाउस में रहते थे। करीब एक साल पहले पिता की मौत के बाद हरदीप ने अपना हिस्सा मांगना शुरू किया जिसे लेकर काफी समय से विवाद चल रहा था। सैटलमेंट की बात हो रही थी लेकिन कुछ मुद्दों को लेकर सहमति नहीं बन पा रही ही। गौरांग ने बताया कि तीनों भाई के बीच पहले काफी मेलमिलाप था लेकिन अब हरदीप और पॉन्टी के बीच बातचीत नहीं होती थी, हालांकि पूरा कुटुंब पहले साथ-साथ ही रहता था।
