Incompetent 10 IAS Officers Are Shifted In Haryana
Haryana government today transferred 10 IAS officers including Deputy Commissioners of Rohtak and Sonipat district which had faced the brunt of Jat agitation.
IAS officer Atul Kumar has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak, replacing Dusmanta Kumar Behera who had faced the ire of affected people whose property was damaged by arsonists during the Jat quota agitation in the state.
Mewat Deputy Commissioner Khetmalis Makrand Pandurang has been given the charge of Deputy Commissioner, Sonipat, replacing Rajiv Rattan.
Among other districts, Rohtak had faced massive property loss as mob first looted shops of non-jats and then burnt them down during Jat quota agitation.
There were allegations of rape and molestation of women at Murthal in Sonipat district, though Haryana police had claimed that no such incident took place.
Sanjeev Verma, Administrator, HUDA and Additional Director, Urban Estates, Panchkula has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Mahendragarh at Narnaul, replacing Atul Kumar,
Arun Kumar Gupta, Director General and Secretary, Town and Country Planning and Urban Estates, Director General and Secretary, Mines and Geology, Advisor and Secretary, Civil Aviation Department has been given the additional charge of Chief Administrator, Housing Board relieving Ramesh Krishan of the said charge,
Pradeep Kasni, Director General and Secretary, Archives has been given additional charge of Director General and Secretary, Industrial Training Department relieving Suresh Kumar Goyal
Ramesh Krishan, Chief Administrator, Housing Board and Secretary, State Human Rights Commission has been posted as Director General, Supplies and Disposals relieving Vikas Gupta of the said charge. He will also look after the work of Secretary, State Human Rights Commission.
Brijendra Singh, Chief Administrator, HUDA has been shifted as Managing Director, Haryana Warehousing Corporation relieving Mandip Singh Brar
Vikas Gupta has been posted as Director and Special Secretary, Urban Local Bodies and, Mission Director, State Urban Livelihood Mission and State Urban Development Authority.
He has also been given additional charge of Chief Administrator, HUDA vice Brijendra Singh.

A woman today came forward and registered a case of gangrape against seven people, including her brother-in-law, in connection with the incident.
As per Haryana Police, DIG, Rajshree Singh ,.An FIR has been lodged against seven persons in connection with a gangrape on the basis of a complaint filed by a Narela-based woman today,
She said the victim had alleged she was raped on the intervening night of February 22-23 and the perpetrators included her brother-in-law. The complainant said she knew all of them.
The officer, who heads a three-member team of women police officers constituted by the Haryana government to go into alleged incidents of rape and molestation of several women by Jat protesters, however, said a “family dispute” could be the reason behind the woman filing the complaint.
The officer said the victim was not sure about the exact scene of the crime but claimed she was raped in a building near Murthal when she was on way to Narela in Delhi from Haridwar on a van.
The woman, however, said her 15-year-old daughter, who was accompanying her was not raped but her clothes were torn.
The DIG said the woman had called her up yesterday and her statement was recorded today.
.Earlier, some locals, including truck drivers, had claimed they had seen women being dragged to the fields by the protesters. TV channels showed footage of garments worn by women strewn in some places.
Some village heads had, however, trashed their claims and described it as an attempt to defame the people of the area.
Earlier in the day, three truck drivers had denied having witnessed any incident of sexual assault or rape even as Chief Minister M L Khattar+ Health Minister Anil Vi said the guilty shall not go unpunished.

Haryana government today suspended senior IPS officer and former IGP Rohtak, Shrikant Jadhavand two DSPs following allegations of omission and commission in containing the Jat reservation agitation and related violence in Rohtak.

On February 21, the Haryana government had shifted IG of Rohtak Range Shrikant Jadhav amid the Jat agitation in the state which claimed 28 lives.
Jadhav had later been posted as IG State Crime Record Bureau, Madhuban.
Rohtak, Jhajjar and Meham, which fall under Rohtak Range, had been the worst-hit areas of Jat stir, with miscreants torching several shops, vehicles and commercial establishments and causing heavy damage to property, besides indulging in vandalism.
The Haryana Government today also transferred six police officers with immediate effect including those who were posted in the worst-hit areas like Rohtak and Meham.
The DSPs of Meham, Rohtak and Gohana–Surinder Singh, Sukhbir Singh and Vinod Kumar have been shuffled.
On February 23, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had faced “hostile” crowd when he visited violence-hit Jat dominated Rohtak district to take stock of the situation.
The Chief Minister had said that the state government would also take strict action against those officers be it from district administration or police department for dereliction in duty.

As per sources Khattar was getting regular feedback on the situation and giving necessary directions.
Fresh incidents of violence were today reported in Haryana as the Jat stir for quota intensified with protestors
torching a railway station in Jind even as the Army conducted a flag march in two curfew-bound districts of Rohtak and Bhiwani, while curfew has now also been clamped in Jhajjar.
Earlier in the day, Khattar had made a fresh appeal to the people to maintain peace and harmony.
Khattar Tweeted “I appeal to all my fellow Haryanvis to maintain law & order in the State, and ensure that harmony is maintained in society,”
Khattar had recently held talks with Jat and Khap leaders , but these failed to bear fruit as the protesters remained adamant on their main demand of OBC quota in government jobs and rejected his announcement of enhancement of the quota of reservation for Economically Backward Classes in the state from 10 to 20 per cent.
