[New Delhi] AAP ,Providing Moral Support To Congress, Poses More Questions to Jaitley on DDCA
Stepping up attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over alleged corruption in DDCA during his tenure, the AAP today posed more questions to him, saying it would continue to raise its voice against graft in the state cricket body.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh alleged that the Finance Minister has sent a legal notice to him and his colleague Ashutosh “through” Lokesh Sharma, who is Managing Director of private firm 21st Century Media, and said that they are ready to face one thousand such legal notices and will not be deterred from exposing “corruption” in DDCA.
Jaitley has strongly rejected the allegations calling them a propaganda technique of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to deflect attention when he himself was in the “dock” following a CBI raid in Delhi Secretariat.
Addressing a press conference here, Singh accused Jaitley of trying to “suppress” alleged corruption which had taken place in Delhi and District Cricket Association under his watch by sending legal notice.
Yesterday, the Aam Aadmi Party had posed five questions to the minister, saying that they would continue to query him on the alleged corruption in the DDCA.
The AAP leader claimed that they are getting papers pertaining to DDCA’s alleged corruption from several persons across the country.
Following a CBI raid in Delhi Secretariat in connection with charges against Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar, AAP has been claiming that the central agency carried out the searches to target the AAP chief and was looking for a file relating to alleged graft in DDCA.
Since then the party has been demanding resignation of Jaitley from the Union Cabinet.

[New Delhi]Ruling Kejriwal’s New Bouncer , Claims CBI told to Target Opposition
The confrontation between Delhi’s ruling AAP and the Centre today intensified with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal making fresh allegations that CBI has been asked to “target” the opposition and “finish those who don’t fall in line”.
Kejriwal’s latest salvo came a day after he demanded that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley be removed from the Cabinet for alleged corruption in Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) which he had headed for 14 years till 2013.
Jaitley had rejected the allegations calling it was a propaganda technique of Kejriwal to deflect attention when he himself was in the “dock”.
Kejriwal today tweeted,
“A CBI officer told me yesterday that CBI has been asked to target all opposition parties and finish those who don’t fall in line.”
The AAP chief once again chose the social media route to level the charges. He had virtually live-tweeted the CBI raid at his Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar’s office in the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday.
Kejriwal had said Jaitley’s assertion that AAP’s allegations against him are “unsubstantiated and non-specific” could not be treated as “gospel truth” as the charges against him were “very, very serious

Jaitley Bounce Back at Kejriwal & Calls His Allegations a False Propaganda

[New Delhi] Arun Jaitley Bounce Back Kejriwal And Calls His Allegations a Propaganda Tech Yesterday Jaitely Termed It Rubbish And Refused To Comment On Such Allegations
As AAP escalated its attack, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today hit back on allegations of irregularities against him in the DDCA affairs, saying it was a propaganda technique of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to deflect attention when he himself was in the “dock”.
Jaitley broke his silence by writing a blog and addressing the media, a day after Congress and AAP targeted him and asked him to quit over allegations of financial bungling in the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) which he had headed for 14 years till 2013.
In a Press Conference ,Referring to the controversy raked up by Kejriwal over the CBI action against his Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar, he accused the Chief Minister of resorting to “false propaganda continuously”.
Rejecting allegations against him, the Finance Minister said no personal allegations were ever made against him nor did he feel the need of contradicting it.
He said today he has felt the need for speaking in order to counter “any unsubstantiated non-specific allegations”.
“I have left cricket administration in 2013. By referring to some facts of 2014 and 2015, he cannot drag me in,” Jaitley said.
“Even though I am not concerned with cricket administration since 2013, a Member of Parliament has been writing to various government bodies with regard to Delhi’s cricket affairs.
“The UPA government seized the opportunity and referred the complaints to the SFIO which investigated all his complaints over a period of time and submitted a detailed report on March 21, 2013.
“The report concluded in relation to the DDCA being registered under the Companies Act that: thus, in a nutshell, there are certain irregularities/non-compliance or technical violations, but no fraud (was) noticed as alleged,” he said quoting from the report.
The BJP fielded HRD Minister Smriti Irani to say that the party “resolutely stands behind” the finance minister who has an “impeccable” political record. The DDCA also held a press conference to strongly defend Jaitley.
Not satisfied with Jaitley’s reaction again demanded that either Jaitley resign or he be “removed” to from the Cabinet to enable independent probe into alleged corruption in Delhi District Cricket Association.File Photo
