The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri R.Swaminathan, IFS (1980) as Secretary (Consular, Passport & Visa and Special Assignment) by temporarily upgrading the post held by him to the level of Secretary up to the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.8.2015.

[New Delhi]Central Govt Stresses on Punctuality Through Biometric Attendance System [BAS]
The Government has directed all Its servants to strictly observe punctuality in attendance.
All Ministries and Departments besides Autonomous Bodies, CBI, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariats and the Union Territories Administrations have been asked to issue necessary directions to all employees at all levels to mark their attendance in the Biometric Attendance System (BAS) portal on regular basis.
In a recent Office Memorandum, it is reiterated that the BAS is only an enabling platform and there is no change in the instructions relating to Office Hours, late attendance etc.
Citing provisions under the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 the Memorandum reiterates that habitual late attendance will be viewed as conduct unbecoming of a Government servant and disciplinary action may be taken against such offenders.

सरकार ने भ्रष्टाचार से संबंधित प्राप्त हुए मामलों से ज्यादा निबटाने का दावा किया:५ सालों में १६९ ही दोषी
[नई दिल्ली]केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयोग[सी वी सी]ने भ्र्ष्टाचार से संबंधित प्राप्त हुए मामलों से ज्यादा निबटाने का दावा किया है |पार्लियामेंट में प्रस्तुत किये गए आंकड़ों से तो कमोबेश यही दिखाई देता है |वर्ष २०१४ में ५४९२ मामले प्राप्त हुए जबकि ५८६७ मामले निबटाए गए |इसीवर्ष १३५७ मामलों में कोई सजा नहीं दी गई
इसके आलावा बीते पांच वर्षों में भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक कानून के तहत दर्ज किये गए ३२९६ मामलों में से केवल १६९ ही दोषी पाये गए
ये आंकड़ें स्वयं केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ जीतेन्द्र सिंह ने ३० अप्रैल को संसद में प्रस्तुत किये हैं
केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयोग से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार पिछले 5 वर्षों के दौरान केंद्र सरकार के कर्मचारियों (जिनमें सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रमों, बैंकों और स्वशासी संस्थानों के कर्मचारी भी शामिल हैं) के बारे में भ्रष्टाचार से संबंधित मामले इस प्रकार है:-

वर्ष 2014 के आंकड़े अंतरिम है। यह आंकड़े केंद्रीय सतर्कता अधिकारियों द्वारा उपलब्ध कराए गए वार्षिक रिपोर्ट पर आधारित है। वर्ष 2013 के लिए 264 और वर्ष 2014 के लिए 206 संगठनों ने वार्षिक रिपोर्ट दायर की।
केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो की जानकारी के अनुसार भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक कानून के तहत पिछले पांच वर्षों {(2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 और 2015 (31 मार्च 2015 तक)} के दौरान कुल 3296 मामले दर्ज किए गए। उपरोक्त अवधि के दौरान वार्षिक आधार पर दर्ज मामलों की जानकारी इस प्रकार है:-

(2) Extension of tenure of Shri J.S. Deepak, IAS (UP:82), Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry for a period of six months beyond 8.4.2015 i.e. from 9.4.2015 to 8.10.2015.
(3) Appointment of Ms. Sushma Suri, Additional Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs for a period of one year on contract basis after her superannuation on 31.3.2015.
(4)Upgradation of the Grade – l post presently held by Shri Sibabrata Tripathi (IFS:79)

वरिष्ठ आई ए एस अधिकारी जुगल किशोर महापात्र को आज ग्रामीण विकास सचिव बनाया |भूमि अधिग्रहण विधेयकको लेकर सरकार विपक्ष का सामना करने में जुटा है |आज पीएम ने भी संसद में स्पष्ट तौर पर विपक्ष से सहयोग माँगा इसके साथ ही इस विकत स्थिति का सामना करने के लिए श्री महापात्रा की नियुक्ति को महत्वपूर्ण माना जा रहा है
जुगल किशोर महापात्र,आईऐएस,को ऐसे समय में नये ग्रामीण विकास सचिव की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गयी है जब संसद से लेकर सड़क तक भूमि अधिग्रहण विधेयक का विरोध हो रहा है। फिलहाल उर्वरक विभाग में कार्यरत श्री महापात्र को एलसी गोयल की जगह लाया गया है। श्री गोयल को गृह सचिव बनाया जा चुका है।
कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति ने केंद्रीय बजट पेश होने से दो दिन पहले 1979 बैच के ओडिशा कैडर के महापात्र समेत पांच नये सचिवों की नियुक्ति की है।
