[New Delhi]Centre Reshuffles Six Secretaries In Various Ministries Road Transport and Highways Gets Sanjay Mitra .
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following:
(i) Shri Sanjay Mitra, IAS (WB:1982), posted in his Cadre as Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways vice Shri Vijay Chhibber, IAS (MN:1978) on his superannuation on 31.12.2015.
(ii) Ms. Rashmi Verma, IAS (BH:1982), Special Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance as Secretary, Ministry of Textiles vice Shri Sanjay Kumar Panda, IAS (TR:1980) on his superannuation on 31.12.2015.
(iii) Shri Neeraj Kumar Gupta, IAS (UP:1982), Special Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises as Secretary, Department of Disinvestment, Ministry of Finance vice Ms Aradhana Johri, IAS (UP:1980) on her appointment as Chairperson, National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention.
(iv) Ms. Aradhana Johri, IAS (UP: 1980), Secretary, Department of Disinvestment, Ministry of Finance as Chairperson, National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention.
(v) Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, IAS (UT:1980), Secretary (Coordination),Cabinet Secretariat will continue to hold the additional charge of the post of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat till the appointment of a regular incumbent or till further orders , whichever is earlier.
(vi) Shri Amitabh Kant, IAS (KL:1980), Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry will hold additional charge of the post of CEO,NITI Aayog consequent on completion of tenure of Ms. Sindhushree Khullar, IAS (Retd.) (UT:1975) on 31.12.2015, till the appointment of a regular incumbent or till further orders , whichever is earlier.

Mohd.Jamshed Takes Charge as New Member Traffic, Railway Board

[New Delhi]Mohd.Jamshed Takes Charge as New Member Traffic, Railway Board
Mr. Mohd.Jamshed has taken over as the new Member Traffic, Railway Board. Prior to this, he was General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway.
During his long career, Mr. Mohd. Jamshed has held several important assignments in the Ministry of Railways and on Northern, Eastern and Central Railways including- Additional Member Railway Board, Chief Operations Manager, Chief Vigilance Officer, Chief Safety Officer, Divisional Railway Manager, and Executive Director Railway Board.
Mr Jamshed during his previous posting as Additional Member Railway Board, was Chairman of the Committee on Traffic Optimisation set up by Minister for Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu. He was Member of the Advisory Council for developing Indian Railway’s IT Vision and also co-ordinated Indian Railways Freight and Passenger outreach initiatives. He was also instrumental in Paperless Mobile Based Ticketing systems, launched by Indian Railways recently.
In addition, Mr Jamshed has also authored the SAARC Regional Multimodal Transport Study adopted by SAARC for regional connectivity initiatives. Trained in HEC Paris and GM Institute Chicago, Mr Jamshed has also led Indian Railway delegations to Japan, Sri Lanka, and Tehran. He was also associated with United Nations Economic and Social Council for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)’s Trans Asian Railway project during his tenure as Executive Director PP in Railway Board.
A gold medalist from Allahabad University, Mr Jamshed belongs to the1980 batch of Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS).
He served as the General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway from 24th October 2015 to 14th December, 2015.
Apart From This The ,Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri A.K. Jain, IRS (IT) (1978), Member, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) as Chairman, CBDT vice Ms. Anita Kapur, IRS (IT) (1978).

Jayathilak, IAS (KL:91), Chairman, Spices Board for a period of three months from 28.8.2015 to 27.11.2015 or till the appointment of regular Chairman in the Rubber Board or until further orders, whoever is the earliest.

(ii)Ms.Mamta Kundra, IA&AS(1985) as Project Director, Project Management Unit of National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP), National Disaster Management Authority for a combined period of tenure at the centre i.e. upto 19.07.2017 from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier vice Shri S.P.Vasudeva, IFS(HP:82), consequent upon his premature repatriation to his parent cadre.
