NAPA Demands Immediate Implementation of Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Bill,2010

To Save Punjab’s Youth From The Clutches Of Human Smugglers , NAPA Has Demanded Immediate implementation of the Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Bill, 2010
Satnam Singh Chahal executive director Of North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has written letters to chief minister of Punjab sardar Prakash Singh Badal and All NRIs Associations in the State to stop illegal human smuggling [KabootarBazi] from Punjab to different European countries
In These Letters Chahal has alleged that Punjab is known as a hub of illegal human smuggling which is happening under the nose of government authorities.
These travel and immigration agents who are luring over several Punjabi youths with dreams of settling in the US are now behind bars. To seek a strict action against these immigration and travel agents Chahal said that these youths were arrested on different time, date and locations while entering illegally to US Border and are now detained in prisons in the different part of United States for the past few months. Out of these Punjabi detainees some are being release on bond and others are being deported back to India.
It is estimated that 15,000 to 25,000 Punjabis contribute to this flourishing business each year by paying Rs 25-30 lakhs on the promise of greener pastures therefore Punjab has become the hub of this Rs 12,000-crore trafficking racket.”
