Badal Thunders Over Capt Amarinder For Reneging Poll Promises

[Chd,Pb] Badal Thunders Over Carrier Of Capt Amarinder
Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal Wednesday accused Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh of “reneging” on poll promises and claimed the Congress leader’s career will end after his party loses the Lok Sabha elections.
Badal also dared Singh to make his performance a poll plank in the Lok Sabha elections.
“Captain sahib actually wants someone dependent on him to succeed him. But only one thing is certain at this stage and that is that Amarinder will not remain the CM after the Congress debacle in Punjab in these elections and this will draw curtains on his political career. Hence, there is desperation in his outbursts against Akalis,” the SAD chief added.
Badal’s remarks came after Singh, while addressing a rally in Pathankot in support of Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar on May 11, said, “Sunil has spent his entire life serving people and only such people work for people. You will once see him as CM of Punjab.”

[Amritsar]Capt Added His Voice To Congress Band On Pakistan
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday warned that Pakistan would not hesitate to use its nuclear arsenal if it felt it was losing out against India in a conventional war.
Pointing out that both India and Pakistan were nuclear powers, Captain Amarinder said it was not in either country’s interest to use the weapons of destruction but Islamabad could indulge in such a misadventure if faced with defeat in other battles.
He, however, refused to comment on the number of terrorists killed in the strikes, saying, “whether it was one killed or 100, the message had gone out loud and clear – that India will not let the killing of its innocent soldiers and citizens go unpunished.”
Pointed out that Pakistan was in a huge economic mess and had been going around with a begging bowl and surviving on doles from other Islamic nations, Captain Amarinder said they could ill-afford a full-fledged war with India. And though both were nuke powered countries, Pakistan could act out of desperation to use its nuclear weapons if they found themselves cornered, he warned.

Amarinder’s Aim is to Capture SGPC And Put Me in Jail :Badal

[Chd,Pb]Amarinder’s Aim is to Put Me in Jail So I Am Prepared To Go To Jail:Badal
Former Five Time Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal Thursday said that his successor Amarinder Singh’s only aim was to put him behind bars.
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patriarch was reacting to the chief minister’s address in the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday wherein he vowed to punish those guilty of the “horrendous” 2015 sacrilege incidents in the state.
Badal Said “After reading what Amarinder had said in the assembly, I straightaway came from my village to Chandigarh… I told the DGP that I am available for arrest… I am prepared to go to any jail in the country,” Badal said, adding that his fight against the policies of the Congress would continue.
Winding up the discussion on the Governor’s address in the ongoing Punjab budget session here, Singh spoke on incidents of sacrilege of religious texts and said that they occurred because of the “failure of the law and order system” during the SAD regime.
“What was that (sacrilege incidents). It was a failure of the law and order system,” Singh had said while pointing out that the Badal government had failed to accept even their own Commission’s report into the sacrilege incidents.
Amarinder had further informed the House that the Special Investigative Team formed to probe sacrilege and police firing incidents was doing its work and that he would take the findings of the Ranjit Singh Commission report to their logical conclusion.
However, Badal termed the SIT and the Commission set up by the Congress government as a “drama” and asserted: “Amarinder’s only goal is to put me in jail.”
The SAD leader further said that the Congress wanted to take control of the Sikh shrines in the state.
However, if there were any shortcomings in the probe of sacrilege incidents by the SAD-BJP combine government, then I apologise for it, Badal said further.
On February 18, the SIT probing the police firing at Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura on anti-sacrilege protesters, had arrested Inspector General Paramraj Singh Umranangal on the basis of evidence that he was in command and the procedure adopted to open fire was not correct.
Two persons were killed in the police firing in Behbal Kalan of Faridkot district.
