Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Friday greeted people on Eid-ul-Fitr, and expressed the wish that the nation overcomes the COVID-19 pandemic and work towards furthering human welfare with collective efforts.
In another Tweet Modi greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya,
“May this festival associated with fulfilling auspicious works strengthen our resolve to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic,”
Modi also greeted people on the occasion of Lord Parshuram’s birth anniversary.

(New Delhi)Rahul Gandhi Mocks PM Modi with Old Slogans-PM Missing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, alleging that he is missing along with vaccines, oxygen and medicines during the COVID-19 pandemic and what remains is the central vista project and the PM’s photos.
The former Congress chief has been attacking the prime minister over the government’s handling of the pandemic and has been critical of the Centre for the lack of oxygen, medicines and vaccines in the country amid a surge in the number of cases during the second wave of COVID-19.
“The prime minister is also missing, along with vaccines, oxygen and medicines. All that remain are the central vista project, GST on medicines and the prime minister’s photos here and there,” he said in a tweet in Hindi.
Congress’s chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala also hit out at the government over dead bodies floating in the Ganga.

The redevelopment project of the Central Vista — the power corridor of the country — envisages a new triangular Parliament building, a common Central Secretariat and the revamping of the three-km-long Rajpath from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate and new residences for the prime minister and the vice president.
The CPWD, which is executing the project, had revised its estimated cost from Rs 11,794 crore to Rs 13,450 crore.
“Central Vista is criminal wastage. Put people’s lives at the centre — not your blind arrogance to get a new house,” he said on Twitter.
Gandhi and his Congress party have been asking the government to shelve its plans on the central vista project and give priority to improving medical infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic to save people’s lives.
The work on the project has continued despite the lockdown in the national capital that has brought most construction sites to a grinding halt. The construction work for the project has been brought under the ambit of “essential services”, a move that been flayed by the opposition.

In a statement issued on behalf of the 94-year-old Queen Elizabeth II, the palace said that the country’s longest-serving royal consort died peacefully at Windsor Castle on Friday morning.
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” the palace statement read.
