भारत के राष्ट्रपति श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी ने हिम्मत +मानवता के भाव से हिन्दू धर्म के रक्षक गुरु तेग बहादुर की शहादत दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर संदेश देते हुए कहा कि “आइए हम उनके बलिदान और प्रेम+शांति+सभी समुदायों की एकता के संदेश को याद करें। उनकी सीख हमारे समाज के भीतर समंवय और एकता बनाए रखने के लिए प्रेरित करती है” उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे विचारों में नफरत और हिंसा का कोई स्थान न हो और गुरु तेज बहादुर की हिम्मत व मानवता, हमारा मार्गदर्शन करता रहे।

[नई दिल्ली]नरेंद्रमोदी की सोशल इंजीनियरिंग की२१पंखुड़ियों से सत्ता कमल की पंखुड़ियों[मिनिस्टर्स] की संख्या ६६ हुई कांग्रेस मुक्त भारत के नारे के साथ ४५ मंत्रियों के साथ सरकार शुरू करने वाले नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज सोशल इंजीनियरिंग की २१ नई पंखुड़ियों से भाजपा के राजनीतिक कमल की पंखुड़ियों की संख्या ६६ की | आज के मंत्री परिषद विस्तार से अनेकों सियासी सन्देश भी उछाले गए |शायद इसी कारण कांग्रेस मंत्रिपरिषद में नये मंत्रियों के इस शपथ ग्रहण समारोह से दूर रही । साध्‍वी निरंजन ज्‍योति के साथ मंत्रि मंडल में महिलाओं की संख्या ८ हो गई है |
मुस्लिम चेहरे के रूप में बिहार से मुख्तार अब्बास नकवी को शामिल किया गया इन्होने मुस्लिम होते हुए भी ईश्वर के नाम पर हिंदी में शपथ ग्रहण की|पंजाब के होशियारपुर में संघर्ष शील जीवन व्यतीत करने वाले विजय सांपला को भी महत्व दिया गया है|शिव सेना की ब्लैक मेलिंग को ना कहते हुए अनिल देसाई के बजाय शिव सेना के नेता सुरेश प्रभु को मंत्रीमंडल में भाजपा की सदस्यता के साथ शामिल किया |
गोवा के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर और तीन अन्य ने कैबिनेट स्तर के मंत्री के रूप में शपथ ली।यदपि केरल से कोई चेहरा नहीं है मगर गोआ से पहली बार किसी नेता को केंद्रीय मंत्रीमंडल में लिए गया है |:नवगठित तेलंगाना राज्य को भी प्रतिनिधित्व मिला है
प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने अपने मंत्रिपरिषद का पहला विस्तार करते हुए 21 नए चेहरों को जगह दी जिससे मंत्रियों की कुल संख्या 66 हो गई है संख्या के लिहाज से उत्तरप्रदेश और बिहार का वर्चस्व बना हुआ है ।
होशियार पुर में प्लंबर [नलसाज़] के तौर पर गुजर बसर करने वाले विजय सांपला का जीवन कड़े संघर्ष की कहानी है जिन्हें आज नरेन्द्र मोदी मंत्रिमंडल में शामिल किया गया । अनुसूचित जाति के सांपला का उपयोग पंजाब में 2017 में होने वाले विधानसभा चुनाव में किया जा सकता है| इस विस्तार के बावजूद मोदी मंत्रिपरिषद का यह आकार यूं पी ऐ के डॉ मनमोहन सिंह के नेतृत्व वाली सरकार +एन डी ऐ की अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी नीत सरकार से छोटा ही है।
केन्द्रीय मंत्रिपरिषद में आज विस्तार के बावजूद केरल का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाला कोई सदस्य शामिल नहीं हुआ। केरल में इस पार्टी का अब तक खाता नहीं खुला है।
भाजपा ने वर्ष 1999 में अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी सरकार में अपने वरिष्ठ नेता राजगोपाल को मंत्री पद दिया था। वह मध्य प्रदेश से राज्यसभा सदस्य थे।
राजगोपाल को पहली राजग सरकार में रेल राज्यमंत्री बनाया गया था।

श्री अनिल देसाई को पद एवं गोपनीयता की शपथ नहीं दिलाई जा सकी बताया जा रहा है के महाराष्ट्र में डिप्टी सीएम केलिए राजनीतिक समझौता नहीं होने के कारण श्री देसाई को दिल्ली एयरपोर्ट से ही वापिस मुंबई बुला लिया गया है

A Gurbani Recital was organized on the occasion of the 546th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (November 6, 2014).
The Vice President, Shri Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi were among the dignitaries who attended the event.
The Recital was conducted by Bhai Chamanjit Singh and party.
The President also paid floral tributes to Guru Nanak Dev Ji on the occasion.

A group of probationers of Indian Defence Accounts Service 2013 batch called on the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee today (November 3, 2014) at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, the President said that Defence Finances have increased manifold since the time of India’s Independence. This sharp rise in defence expenditure is commensurate with the requirements of maintaining a modern defence force in our country. The onus of managing the finances has thus increased in proportion+complexity+ dimension. He stated that the probationers would do well to make a vital contribution through faster and efficient decision-making, without compromising on rules and procedures, and yet enabling the defence forces to meet their requirements on time.
