The Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi launched the National Bal Swachhta Mission today.
The Bal Swachhta Mission is a part of the nationwide sanitation initiative of ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ launched by the Prime Minister on 2nd October, 2014. Speaking at the launch of Bal Swachhta Mission,
Minister said that children can play a very important role in achieving a Swachh Bharat. She said that they can become ambassadors of cleanliness and motivate others to keep their homes, schools, and surroundings clean. Cleanliness habits should be imbibed in the children in informal ways like small games, poems, storytelling, conversation with children among others, she added.
Central Minister praised the message of cleanliness given by the children on the occasion through their innocent performances. The Minister said that the cleanliness drive has to be a nationwide effort and should include sustained measures taken up on a continuous basis.
The Minister also released a book on Bal Swachtta Mission prepared by NIPCCD. The children entertained the audience and gave their message of cleanliness through a cultural program and fancy dress programme. She visited the model Anganwadi hub centre located at Maidan Garhi.
Ministry Of Women and Child Development will have the following six themes:-
1. Clean Anganwadis
2. Clean Surroundings e.g. Playgrounds
3. Clean Self (Personal Hygiene/Child Health)
4. Clean Food
5. Clean Drinking Water
6. Clean Toilets
During the Bal Swachhta Week from 14th to 19th November, one of the above themes would be covered at each Anganwadi Centre in the states. The Women and Child Development Departments of various states have been asked to implement the Bal Swachhta Mission with the help of Departments of School Education, Urban Development, Drinking Water and Sanitation, and Information and Publicity. The events will be organized at State, District, Block, and Gram Panchayat level.

नवनीत कुमार कांग बने सीजीएचएस के नए महानिदेशक
[नई दिल्ली]पंजाब केडर (1983) के आई ऐ एस अधिकारी श्री नवनीत कुमार कांग को सीजीएचएस का महानिदेशक बनाया | श्री कांग अतिरिक्त सचिव के पद पर सी जी एच एस के अलावा स्वास्थ्य एंव परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय में स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग भी देखेंगे | श्री आर.के.जैन आईएएस,हिमाचल प्रदेश (1981) के स्थान पर श्री कांग को नियुक्त किया गया है |पंजाब केडर के ही श्री निर्मल जीत सिंह कालसी(1984), को अतिरिक्त सचिव बनाया गया है।मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति द्वारा कुल ग्यारह नियुक्तियों में यूं पी केडर के श्रीअनूप चंद्र पांडे[१९८४], आईएएस, ), को रक्षा मंत्रालय में अतिरिक्त सचिव, पूर्व सैन्य कर्मचारी, कल्याण विभाग,बनाया गया है।
I. श्री केवल कुमार शर्मा, आई.ए.एस. (केंद्रशासित प्रदेश, 1983) वर्तमान कैडर, श्री ए.बी. जोशी (भारतीय डाक सेवा) के रिक्त पद के मद्देनजर महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्रालय में अतिरिक्त सचिव नियुक्त किए गए हैं।
II. श्री बी.एन. सतपथि, आईईएस-1980, वर्तमान कैडर, सलाहकार अंतर्राज्यीय परिषद सचिवालय, गृह मंत्रालय में श्री विनोद अग्रवाल, आईएएस, जेएच (1980) के स्थान पर इसी पद एवं वेतनमान में अतिरिक्त सचिव नियुक्त किए गए हैं।
III. श्री के.पी. कृष्णा, आईएएस, कर्नाटक (1983), महानिदेशक एवं अतिरिक्त सचिव, मुद्रा निदेशालय, आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग, वित्त मंत्रालय को श्री प्रभुदयाल मीणा, आईएएस, मध्यप्रदेश (1980) के स्थान पर अतिरिक्त सचिव, भूमि संसाधन विभाग, ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालय बनाया गया है।
IV. श्री अजय त्यागी, आईएएस, हिमाचल प्रदेश (1984), संयुक्त सचिव, पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय को श्री के.पी. कृष्णा, आईएएस, कर्नाटक (1973) के स्थान पर अतिरिक्त सचिव एवं महानिदेशक, मुद्रा निदेशालय, आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग, वित्त मंत्रालय बनाया गया है।
V. श्री अनूप चंद्र पांडे, आईएएस, उत्तर प्रदेश (1984), संयुक्त सचिव, श्रम एवं रोजगार मंत्रालय को श्री अनुज कुमार बिश्नोई, आईएएस, उत्तर प्रदेश (1981) के रिक्त पद पर अतिरिक्त सचिव, पूर्व सैन्य कर्मचारी, कल्याण विभाग , रक्षा मंत्रालय बनाया गया है।
VI. श्री नवनीत कुमार कांग, आईएएस, पंजाब (1983), महानिदेशक एवं अतिरिक्त सचिव, सीजीएचएस, स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग, स्वास्थ्य एंव परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय में श्री आर.के. जैन आईएएस, हिमाचल प्रदेश (1981) के स्थान पर नियुक्त किए गए हैं।
VII. श्री करण बीर सिंह सिद्धू, आईएएस (1984), संयुक्त सचिव, आवास एवं शहरी गरीबी उपशमन मंत्रालय को श्री ए.के. अंगुराणा, आईएएस, जम्मू कश्मीर (1980) के स्थान पर प्रबंध निदेशक, ट्राइफेड, अनुसूचित जनजाति मामलों के मंत्रालय नियुक्त किया गया है।
VIII. श्री आर राजगोपाल, आईएएस, तमिलनाडु, (1984), प्रबंध निदेशक, नेफेड को श्री अरविंद कौशल, आईडीएएस (1979) के स्थान पर अतिरिक्त सचिव, कृषि, शोध एवं शिक्षा विभाग , कृषि मंत्रालय बनाया गया है।
IX. श्री निर्मल जीत सिंह कालसी, आईएएस, पंजाब (1984), सलाहकार, अंतर्राज्जीय परिषद सचिवालय, गृह मंत्रालय को अतिरिक्त सचिव बनाया गया है।
X. श्री टी. जैकब, आईएएस, (तमिलनाडु 1984), संयुक्त सचिव, खाद्य एवं जन वितरण विभाग, उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य एवं जन वितरण मंत्रालय को श्री भास्कर खुलबे, आईएएस, पश्चिम बंगाल, (1983) के रिक्त पद पर संयुक्त सचिव, कार्मिक एवं प्रशिक्षण विभाग बनाया गया है।
XI. श्री आलोक कुमार, आईएएस (एएम 1984), संयुक्त सचिव, कार्मिक एवं प्रशिक्षण विभाग, कार्मिक, जन शिकायतें एवं पेंशन मामलों के मंत्रालय को सचिव केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयोग बनाया गया है। उनका पद एवं वेतनमान संयुक्त सचिव DownGradedस्तर का होगा।

Each year, all over the world 11th October is celebrated as International Girl Child Day. We in India observe, in addition, 24th January as the National Girl Child Day. These days are occasions to celebrate the Girl Child, and to rededicate ourselves to providing her more opportunity and a better future.”
Minister Further Adds” Our girls have done us proud in classrooms, in the sports field and later in many diverse fields. They have broken barriers and proved their worth in every sphere, even in the Voyage to Mars with the Mangalyaan initiative”.
While regretting the sex selective elimination she says “Today, we are proud that we are one of the fastest growing economies in the world. But the paradox remains that the girl child is denied the right to be born. It is a matter of great concern that gender biased sex selective elimination is continuing in many parts of our country. This is a violation of human rights and of the right to life guaranteed under our Constitution”

Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi launches the New Guaranteed Minimum Pension Scheme By Giving Away Certificates Of Increased Pension to First Ten Pensioners in Dehradun,Uttrakhand
The Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi today presided over a function to launch the New Guaranteed Minimum Pension Scheme of Government of India in Dehradun. The Minister gave away certificates of increased pension to first ten pensioners. The Government of India recently announced launch of a guaranteed minimum pension of Rs. 1000 per month under Employees Pension Scheme, 1995. Under the new Scheme, the pension has been increased from Rs. 650 to Rs. 1000. Also, the maximum wage limit for eligibility has been increased from Rs 6500 per month to Rs 15000 per month.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister of Women and Child Development said that this measure has been taken by the Central Government to provide increased social security to workers through the Pension Scheme.
The Minister said that the pension is a small token of gratitude which the nation pays to workers who spend a life time in building the nation through their hard work.
She requested the Uttarakhand Government to consider banning the use of plastics in the State.
The State Labour Minister of Uttarakhand, Sh. Harish Chander Durgapal, Surveyor General of India, Sh. Subba Rao were among those present on the occasion

देश के आश्रय ग्रहों [ children’s shelter home ]में यौन शोषण की रोक थाम के लिए सी सी टी वी लगेंगे|महिला और बाल विकास मंत्रालय ने प्रत्येक आश्रय गृह में सीसीटीवी लगाने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया है |गौरतलब है कि महाराष्ट्र के रायगढ़ जिले के एक बाल आश्रय गृह में बच्चों के साथ यौन शोषण होने की भयावह घटना को देखते हुए आश्रय ग्रहों में सी सी टी वी लगवाने का यह निर्णय लिया गया है|
महिला और बाल विकास मंत्रालय ने राज्य सरकारों के साथ विचार-विमर्श करके इस दिशा में कार्य करने की घोषणा की है |
