“अभी आपने देखा, आप लोग भी घाट पर जाते हैं और एलईडी की रोशनी आने के बाद तो मुझे बताया गया कि बहुत लोग जाते हैं, देखने के लिए जाते हैं। आपने देखा होगा कितना बड़ा बदलाव आया है। हम चाहते हैं हर परिवार में, मेरे काशी के हर परिवार में बिजली का बिल कम होना चाहिए कि नहीं होना चाहिए। आप चाहते हैं कि बिजली का बिल कम हो? आप चाहते हैं आपके पैसे बचे? सचमुच में चाहते हो? तो मेरी एक बात मानोगे, पक्का मानोगे? वादा करो, भोले बाबा को याद करके वादा करो। आप अपने घर में जितने बल्ब है, ट्यूब लाइट है, एलईडी लगा दीजिए।
आप देखिए, आपका बिजली का बिल एकदम से कम हो जाएगा, आपके पैसे बच जाएंगे और रोशनी बढ़ जाएगी।
ये डबल मुनाफा वाले काम है और पूरे भारत में मुझे आंदोलन खड़ा करना है कि पुराने जो बिजली के बल्ब है उससे मुक्ति लीजिए। ये नई टेक्नोलॉजी है, जो हमारी आंखों के लिए अच्छी है, रोशनी के लिए अच्छी है और जेब के लिए भी अच्छी है। हम काशी में एक आंदोलन चलाए। सब लोग उस बात को आगे बढ़ाए तो काशी के अंदर भी हम इसका लाभ ले सकते हैं और मैंने देखा है .काशी की जो स्ट्रीट लाइट है उन को भी एल ई डी में कन्वर्ट करना है उसके कारण काशी महानगर पालिका का जो बिजली का बिल है वो भी बहुत कम हो जाएगा और वो जो पैसे बचेंगे वो काशी को अगर स्वच्छता के लिए लगा दिए गए तो मेरा काशी चमकता रहेगा। शाम को रोशनी से चमकेगा और दिन में सफाई से चमकेगा और दुनिया के लोग आएंगे तो एक नई काशी को देखकर के जाएंगे।

Allahabad High Court has Announced This Ban on idol immersion in Varanasi
In the wake of an order by Allahabad High Court banning immersion of idols in Holy Ganga +Yamuna rivers, Varanasi district administration has issued directions to the effect, ahead of festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi and Durga Puja.
District Magistrate Rajmani Yadav said adhering to the High Court order, instructions have been issued to officials for a complete ban on immersion of idols in Ganga in Varanasi.
The directions have been issued ahead of the festivals so that alternative arrangements can be made.
The idols of would now only be immersed at specific locations?such as ponds etc, which would be earmarked as immersing areas by the district administration, the district magistrate said.
The Allahabad High Court had ordered a complete ban on immersion of idols in Ganga and Yamuna rivers as a measure to curb pollution and had asked the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure the ban.
Additional District Magistrate (City) Vindhyavasini Rai said last year the High Court had allowed relaxation for immersion of idols for a year, especially?for Varanasi district, as the geographical area turned out to be difficult and it was not feasible to make alternative arrangements immediately.
Now, the year has ended.

PM Condoled The Death And 7.5 Lakh Compensation For The Deceased Family Is Announced
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was distressed by the death of a labourer in a mishap at the venue of his rally, which was later cancelled, and his family would be given a compensation of Rs 7.5 lakh.
Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal told reporters .”When Modi heard the news of the tragic death of the labourer at the DLW Grounds, he felt grief and expressed his condolences. He also said that in deference to the departed soul, it would not be proper to go ahead with the functions scheduled for the day,”
He said the family members of the labourer, who was electrocuted after he gripped a wire while falling, will be given a compensation of Rs 7.5 lakh by the Power Finance Corporation which was the organiser of the proposed function at the Diesel Locomotive Works Ground.
The programme included launching of the Integrated Power Development Scheme by the Prime Minister, who represents Varanasi seat in the Lok Sabha.
Replying to a query, Goyal denied that any shortcoming in the electric wiring could have caused the death of the labourer and asserted, “I have myself visited the site of the incident and spoken to some of the other labourers present on the spot, who I was told were also distant relatives of the deceased.”
Minister said “They told me that the worker was standing on a platform seven to eight feet high when he tripped and gripped a wire to prevent himself from crashing on the ground.
He Added “Current was passing through the wire which snapped under his weight and caused his electrocution,”
District Magistrate Pranjal Yadav said.Devnath, a gardner from West Bengal, died in the wee hours after he suffered an electric shock from a damaged electric wire at DLW grounds,
Station Officer of Manduadih police station Gopal Prasad Gupta said that Devnath slipped while working and caught hold of an electric wire passing from a pole near him. The wire suddenly broke and he received an electric shock.
He was immediately rushed to hospital but succumbed on the way.

केन्द्रीय बिजली, कोयला, नवीन एवं नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा राज्यमंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने वाराणसी में ऊर्जा दक्षता प्रकाश प्रयासों की शुरूआत की
श्री गोयल ने वाराणसी शहर में ऊर्जा दक्षता को बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक बड़ी शुरूआत करते हुए कल शाम घरेलू दक्षता प्रकाश कार्यक्रम (डीईएलपी) और एलईडी आधारित स्मार्ट स्ट्रीट प्रकाश कार्यक्रमों की शुरूआत की। उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार के ऊर्जा मंत्री श्री यासिर शाह भी उपस्थित थे।
इन प्रयासों से एलईडी लाइटों को बढ़ावा देने के जरिए व्यस्ततम घंटों में ऊर्जा के इस्तेमाल में एक हजार मेगावाट तक की कमी के सरकार के संकल्प को प्रक्टिकल शेप देनी शुरू हो गई है |
केन्द्र और राज्य सरकार, विद्युत मंत्रालय के तहत सार्वजनिक निकाय ऊर्जा दक्षता सेवाएं लिमिटेड (ईईएसएल) के सहयोग से लगभग 2,28,496 घरेलू उपभोक्ताओं को 13 लाख एलईडी बल्ब वितरित करेंगे और वाराणसी में 36,077 पारम्परिक स्ट्रीट लाइटों के स्थान पर ऊर्जा के लिहाज से बेहतर एलईडी को लगाया जाएगा।
श्री गोयल ने बताया “ऊर्जा खपत के लिहाज से बेहतर एलईडी लाइटों के जरिए वाराणसी शहर में बिजली की मांग में 45 मेगावाट तक की कमी आएगी, जिससे 68 करोड़ रुपए की बचत होगी। पारम्परिक स्ट्रीट लाइटों के स्थान पर ऊर्जा के लिहाज से बेहतर एलईडी को बदले जाने के अभिनव व्यापारिक मॉडल में विस्तार की ओर भी संभावनाएं हैं, क्योंकि इसमें नगर निकायों की ओर से पूंजीनिवेश की आवश्यकता है। इससे व्यस्ततम घंटों में ऊर्जा की काफी बचत होगी और साथ ही साथ बिजली की गुणवत्ता सेवा में भी सुधार होगा।
