[New Delhi]AIIMS Delhi Celebrates its Diamond Jubilee
During 2015-16, AIIMS Delhi, attended to
30 lakh outpatients,
2.5 lakh inpatients and performed about
1.5 lakh surgeries.
Health Minister JP Nadda In the celebration said that AIIMS is also the mentor institution for the new AIIMS like Institutions being established across the country. In this regard, the work done by AIIMS in formulating and reviewing subordinate legislation including the AIIMS Rules and Regulations has been commendable.
Highlighting its contribution, the Health Minister said that AIIMS not only has established high reputation but has also contributed significantly in academic quality, student care, infrastructure, and placement opportunities. “With its
9 centres and
52 teaching departments, and a
manpower of over 10,000 including more than
800 faculty positions;
Shri Nadda said that nearly 600 research projects have been conducted in the year and the institute attracted extramural research grants of more than Rs. 70 crores in frontier and cutting edge biomedical areas. “Moreover, the faculty and the scientists of the institute have published over 1800 research papers and AIIMS has been rated 3rd among the world’s top medical institutions in publishing research,” Shri Nadd stated
Enumerating the future plans, Shri Nadda stated that AIIMS is in the process of expanding its Trauma Centre, Surgical block, Mother and child block and OPD Block.

The Health Minister informed that the Union Cabinet has recently approved a proposal for setting up of National Cancer Institute (NCI) at Jhajjar under AIIMS at a cost of Rs. 2035 crores.
The Health Minister also inaugurated a free generic pharmacy store at the Institute for outpatients to cater to the needs of weaker sections of society and gave away research awards to the meritorious faculty members and students.

[New Delhi]Assam Congress Chief Passes Away
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Anjan Dutta passed away this morning at the AIIMS hospital following cardiac failure.
Dutta, 64, was admitted to the hospital on May 18, and was under treatment at the department of Pulmonary Sciences.
He was initially admitted to the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi on May 12 with complaints of severe chest infection.
The Congress leader leaves behind his wife and three daughters, one of whom had unsuccessfully contested the recent Assembly elections in Assam.
Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi had met him on May 25.
Dutta, a close confidante of former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, was a Cabinet Minister handling several departments including transport, in the state in the past.
He was appointed APCC President on December 13, 2014 and had been holding the post ever since.

सुषमा स्वराज को आज अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान [एम्स]से छुट्टी मिल गई ।
विदेश मंत्री सीने में जकड़न और बुखार की शिकायत के चलते लगभग तीन हफ्ते से अस्पताल में भर्ती थीं ।
एम्स के निदेशक एमसी मिश्र के अनुसार आज डॉक्टरों के एक समूह ने सुषमा की जांच के बाद उन्हें ठीक पाया जिसके बाद उन्हें छुट्टी दे दी गई ।
‘स्वराज का निमोनिया का उपचार किया गया और संक्रमण के चलते उन्हें गुर्दे में हल्की सी दिक्कत भी हुई । विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों के समूह ने उनका उपचार किया और चिकित्सकों द्वारा ठीक बताए जाने के बाद उन्हें छुट्टी दे दी गई ।’’
भाजपा नेत्री सुषमा [६४]को सीने में जकड़न और बुखार की शिकायत के बाद 25 अप्रैल को एम्स में भर्ती कराया गया था । उनका उपचार अस्पताल के कार्डियो-न्यूरो केंद्र में चल रहा था ।
डॉक्टरों ने पूर्व में कहा था कि ऐसी संभावना है कि सुषमा अपनी यात्राओं के दौरान बहुत चरम तापमान की वजह से संक्रमण की चपेट में आ गईं

The AIIMS will upload on its website details of unidentified patients brought to its emergency ward to help their relatives trace them.
The prestigious institute has developed a programme by which it will soon start uploading the details of all such patients, involved in medico-legal cases, who are brought to the emergency and admitted under the ‘list of unknown patients’, on a real-time basis on its website.
As per AIIMS Director Dr M C Mishra.”Majority of such patients are accident victims. Then there are destitutes who are also brought for treatment. Again some are brought dead. The process of publishing their photos in newspapers and then somebody coming to claim them takes a long time. Uploading the details of such patients along with their photographs can help their kin trace them fast,”

श्री गांधी ने अस्पताल के कार्डियो-न्यूरो सेंटर में कुछ समय बिताया जहां गत 25 अप्रैल से सुषमा स्वराज का उपचार चल रहा है।

लेकिन व्यक्तिगत रूप से सुषमा स्वराज का राहुल और उनकी मां एवं कांग्रेस अध्यक्षा श्रीमती सोनिया गांधी के साथ आत्मीय संबंध रहा है।
प्रमुख अस्पताल ने कल कहा था कि स्वराज के स्वास्थ्य में लगातार सुधार हो रहा है और उन्हें जल्दी ही छुट्टी दे दी जाएगी।
एम्स ने मंत्री के लिए एक संयुक्त उपचार रणनीति तैयार करने के वास्ते एक चिकित्सा बोर्ड का भी गठन किया है।
पिछले साल भी संसद की बैठक के दौरान जब सुषमा की तबीयत ठीक नहीं थीं तो सोनिया और राहुल दोनों उनके पास गए थे और उनके स्वास्थ्य के बारे में पूछताछ की थी

Rahul Gandhi Visits Sushma Swaraj
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today visited External Affairs Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj who was admitted at AIIMS. She complained of chest congestion.
Rahul Gandhi spent some time in the Cardio-Neuro Centre of the hospital where Swaraj is undergoing treatment since April 25.
Swaraj has had a good rapport with Gandhi and his mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi since she was the Leader of Opposition in the last Lok Sabha.
The premier hospital had yesterday said that Swaraj continued to show rapid improvement and would be discharged soon.
AIIMS has also set up a medical board for formulating a combined treatment strategy for the minister.
Both Sonia and Rahul had, last year in Parliament, walked up to the Minister to ask about her well being when she was unwell.

The wife of senior BJP leader LK Advani was today admitted to AIIMS due to health problems.
According to doctors , Kamla Advani, has been put in the ICU of the premier institute and her condition is at present “stable”.
“Kamla Advani was admitted to AIIMS today at 6 AM with fever and urinary tract infection. She is under close monitoring by a team of super specialists comprising urologists, geriatric medicine and intensive care specialists.
Neerja Bhatla, Chairperson, Media and Protocol Division at All-India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS) said “Her condition is presently stable, she is maintaining blood pressure and oxygenation without any external support,” said Prof .
