Cong Slashing Govt,In RS,Called Freedom 251 Phone a BJP Blessed Fraud

[New Delhi]Cong Slashing Govt,In RS,Called Freedom 251 Phone a BJP Blessed Fraud
Congress,Today,Slashing Govt Called Freedom 251’Smartphone Scheme a Fraud Which Has Blessing Of Govt
Congress MP Pramod Tiwari in Rajya Sabha today Alleging that ‘Freedom 251’ smartphone scheme was a “fraud”, objected to the presence of BJP leaders at the launch of the scheme to sell smartphones at a price of Rs 251 and sought a reply from the government.
Tiwari Strongly Alleged that Leaders of BJP are involved. They talk about ‘Make in India’ but what they are doing is ‘Make in Fraud’,” Tiwari said during Zero Hour and expressed doubts over the claim of the company to provide mobile phones to consumers at just Rs 251.
He said six crore bookings have already been made for the phone and even at the rate of Rs 251 each, the mobile company must have collected hundreds of crores of rupees.
Demanding that the money collected by the company should be kept secure, Tiwari said even the Director of the company has said that the minimum cost of the phone is Rs 1400 and wondered how can the gadget be then sold at just Rs 251.
Caging BJP Tiwari said if it is possible to get a phone at Rs 251, then how can others are charging Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 for a mobile set.
“Either this is wrong or that is wrong. The government has its share either in this or that. Government should answer,” Tiwari said.
Ringing Bells, a NOIDA based start-up, which launched the mobile had said they had developed it with support from the government.
Soon after the launch ceremony where a veteran BJP leader was present, doubts were raised about the genuineness of the company’s claim to provide phone at the rate of Rs 251.

“AAP”Now Targets Rahul Also Over SlumDemolition Issue:Calls Him a “Child”

[New Delhi] “AAP” Now Lashes out at Rahul Gandhi Also Over Slum Demolition Issue
As a political slugfest broke out over slum demolition issue, AAP today hit back at Rahul Gandhi alleging such actions were also carried out under Congress rule while Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called him a “child”.
Aam Aadmi Party and Trinammol Congress protested near the Mahatma Gandhi statue outside Parliament condemning the demolition by Railways in Shakur Basti area of West Delhi after it was blamed for the death of an infant.
AAP also protested in Parliament over the issue after Speaker Sumitra Mahajan rejected an adjournment motion moved by it.
Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi, who said that both Kejriwal government and Modi government were responsible for the situation after visiting the site, AAP leader Ashutosh said his statements reflect the reasons behind Congress’ defeat in Lok Sabha polls, in which it was reduced to 44 seats.
This is Rahul-used to talk about Kalavati,” AAP leader Ashutosh said on Twitter.
Lashing out at the Congress Vice President, Kejriwal tweeted, “Rahul Gandhi is still a child. His party probably did not tell him that Railway comes under the central government, and not under the Government of Delhi.”
Kejriwal’s remark came as Rahul Gandhi reportedly questioned why AAP MPs were protesting outside Parliament when it is their government that rules Delhi.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh said the Congress leader is suffering from “memory-loss” or his attacks on Kejriwal government are because of a possible “deal” struck between the Modi government and him in the Natioanl Herald case.
“Where were Congress activists when Home Minister Satyendar Jain and AAP Delhi unit convenor Dilip Pandey were at the site trying to halt the demolitions. Rahul Gandhi is suffering from memory loss. These jhuggis were demolished earlier as well and the Congress was in power both at the Centre and the state.
“Perhaps, a deal must been struck between Modi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case which is why he is targeting the Kejriwal government,” Singh tweeted.
AAP sources said the matter will be raised in the Rajya Sabha by TMC and JD(U).
A fresh confrontation raged between the Arvind Kejriwal Government and Centre over the death of the infant girl at the slum cluster in West Delhi that was demolished by Railways.
The AAP government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the demolition drive and death of the six-month girl though railways has said that the incident had “nothing to do with removal of encroachments”.
Kejriwal has also sought a meeting with Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu over the issue. .

Govt Scraps The Proposal Of Privatization Of Four Developed Airports

[New Delhi]Govt Scraps The Proposal Of Privatization Of Four Developed Airports
Reversing its earlier plan, the government has decided to scrap the proposal to privatise [1]Chennai[2]Kolkata[3]Jaipur [4]Ahmedabad airports.
Now, private players would be roped in only for operation and maintenance activities of Jaipur and Ahmedabad airports.
A decision in this regard was taken last month during a high-level meeting that was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju and his deputy Mahesh Sharma, among others.
The earlier proposal was for undertaking the operation, management and development of these airports through public private partnership (PPP) mode.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) also issued Request for Qualification (RfQ) documents in December last year.
Minister Sharma today said the government has now decided to take up Jaipur and Ahmedabad airports on pilot basis.
“The four airports, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kolkata, were under consideration. On a pilot basis, the two airports, Jaipur and Ahmedabad, will be taken on O&M basis.
Issues of Chennai and Kolkata have been deferred,” Sharma told reporters here.
The modus operandi for roping in private players to carry out O&M works at Jaipur and Ahmedabad airports is going to be discussed with stakeholders, he added.
When asked whether similar mechanism would be adopted for other airports, the Minister said, “Let’s see the results (for Jaipur and Ahmedabad airports) and if they are good we will extend it to others”.
Without disclosing specific details, Sharma said representations were received with regard to Chennai and Kolkata airports.
Civil Aviation Secretary R N Choubey said that Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invested significant funds in these four airports.
Instead of privatisation, AAI would continue to be the owner of these airports. “At the same time, for better operations and maintenance, the private sector expertise will be tapped,” he said.
Interestingly, the Civil Aviation Ministry has been maintaining that there is no proposal to privatise these four airports.
“There is no such proposal of privatisation of airports at present,” Sharma had told Rajya Sabha earlier this year.
This was his response to a query on whether the government was considering a proposal to privatise Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Jaipur airports.
There are 476 airports, operational as well as non-operational ones, in the country.
