[New Delhi] Employer Also Liable For 50000 Fine For Sexual Harassment At Workplace

The Supreme Court of India laid down formal guidelines for dealing with sexual harassment at the workplace in the case of Vishakha Vs. State of Rajasthan.
The guidelines clearly state that all workplaces should constitute a Complaint Committee to deal with complaints of sexual harassment. Taking forward the Supreme Court guidelines, “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013” was enacted which came into force with effect from 9th December 2013.
The Act casts a responsibility on every employer to create an environment which is free from sexual harassment.
Employers are required to organize workshops and awareness programmes at regular intervals for sensitizing the employees about the provision of this legislation and display notices regarding the constitution of Internal Committee, penal consequences of sexual harassment etc.
An employer will be liable to a fine of Rs 50,000/- in case of violation of his duties under the Act and in case of subsequent violations, the amount of fine will be double together with penalty in the form of cancelation of his licence, withdrawal or non-renewal of the registration required for carrying out his activity.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development had issued advisories to States/UTs to ensure effective implementation of the Act. The Ministries/Departments in Government of India have also been advised to ensure the compliance of the Act.
This information was given by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi a in written reply to an unstarred question in the Rajya Sabha today.

बेशक आज से घोषित एयर पोर्ट्स एम्प्लाइज की हड़ताल स्थगित हो गई है ,लेकिन सिविल एविएशन मंत्रालय की मुश्किलें कम होने का नाम नहीं ले रही | राज्य सभा में सांसदों ने निजी एयर लाइन्स पर मनमाने तरीके से बेहद अधिक किराया वसूलने के आरोप लगाये|आसन के साथ ही अनेकों सदस्यों ने एयर लाइन्स की इस मनमानी पर चिंता व्यक्त की और निगरानी तंत्र की मांग की
कांग्रेस के नेता राजीव शुक्ल ने भी प्रश्न काल के दौरान कहा कि प्राईवेट विमानन कंपनियों द्वारा मनमाने ढंग से किराया फिक्स किया जा रहा है |देश की एविएशन सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की जांच के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नियामक फ़ेडरल एविएशन एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (FAA)का माह के अंत में दौरा भी होना है इसके पश्चात ही भारतीय एविएशन की ग्रेडिंग को तय किया जा सकेगा

राज्य सभा में भी कमोबेश यही स्थिति रही यहां आरएसएस प्रमुख मोहन भागवत के मदर टेरेसा संबंधी बयान को लेकर हंगामा किया गया जिसके फलस्वरूप सदन की कार्यवाही स्थगित कर दी गई
राज्यसभाईयों को वरिष्ठ+अपर+बुजुर्ग का संवैधानिक दर्जा है और बढे+बच्चे एक समान ही होते हैं

[नई दिल्ली]१८३ करोड़ रूपये की भारतीय नकली करेंसी, चार सालों में जब्त, हुई लेकिन चलन में कुल नकली रकम के विषय में सरकार के पास कोई जानकारी नहीं है यदपि आर बी आई +वित्त एवं गृह मंत्रालय+सुरक्षा गुप्तचर एजेंसियां+नकली करेंसी के चलन को रोकने में लगी हैं
२०१० से २०१३ तक १८३ करोड़ रूपये नकली जब्त किये जा चुके हैं इसके आलावा जाते साल में ३०.८८ करोड़ रूपये जब्त किये जा चुके हैं नेशनल क्राइम रिकॉर्ड ब्यूरो (NCRB)की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार बीते पांच वर्षों के दौरान २१४ करोड़ नकली रुपये पकडे जा चुके हैं |इस नकली रकम की स्मगलिंग रोकने के लिए सरकार अनेक प्रयास कर रही है |टेरर फंडिंग & फेक करेंसी सेल (TFFC) और एक विशेष कोऑर्डिनेशन ग्रुप का गठन किया जा चुका है|इसके अलावा सीमाओं को सुरक्षित करने के लिए पाकिस्तान से लगी सीमाओं पर लेज़र वाल औअर पर मिलिट्री फोर्सेज को मजबूत किया जा रहा है

The United States (US) has filed a WTO Dispute Case on Procurement of Solar Cells and Modules
The United States Of Amerca (USA) has filed a WTO dispute case (DS456) under the Dispute Settlement Mechanism, aggrieved by the Domestic Content Requirement Condition on procurement of solar cells and modules under Batch I and Batch II of Phase I and Batch I of Phase II of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) Program.
This is being administered by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
On the request of the US, Panel has been established by the Dispute Settlement Body and the process of composition of the Panel is under progress by the WTO Secretariat in consultation with both the parties to the Dispute.
Minister of State of Commerce & Industry Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman in a written reply in Rajya Sabha Intimated That Government of India is preparing its arguments and defence in consultation with the legal experts as well as the stakeholders concerned.
Amongst others, two important issues between the Governments of the US and India are related to two other WTO Disputes. These are:
(i WTO Dispute DS430 related to India’s measures banning import of agricultural products, in particular, the poultry and poultry products from a country infected with the Avian Influenza viral strains.
(ii) WTO Dispute DS436 related to Countervailing Duty (CVD) imposed by the US on certain hot rolled carbon steel flat products originating from India.

ऊंटनी के दूध से अगर मधुमेह रोग ठीक हो सकता है तो राज्य सभा में सांसदों को यह दूध उपलब्ध कराना चाहिए क्योंकि अधिकाँश सांसद मधुमेह के रोग से पीड़ित होंगें यह मांग शुक्रवार को हलके फुल्के अंदाज में शिरोमणि अकाली दल के सांसद नरेश गुजराल ने रखी| प्रश्नकाल के दौरान एक सदस्य ने पूछा की क्या ऊंटनी के दूध की बिक्री पर कोई पाबंदी है तो कृषि मंत्री राधा मोहन सिंह ने जवाब दिया कि ऊंटनी के दूध के व्यापार पर कोई पाबन्दी नहीं है |इसपर एक अन्य सदस्य ने पूछ लिया कि क्या इस दूध से मधुमेह+हेपेटाइटिस [ Diabetes and Hepatitis]में लाभ मिलता है तो राज्य सभा का तनाव भरा माहौल कुछ हल्का हो गया |मंत्री द्वारा इस प्रश्न के जवाब में हाँ कहते ही शिरोमणि अकाली दल के सांसद नरेश गुजराल[पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री आई के गुजराल के पुत्र] ने हँसते हुए खड़े हुए और कहा कि अगर ऊँट का दूध इतना गुण कारी है तो सदन के अधिकांश सदस्यों को मधुमेह होगा ,इसीलिए इस लाभकारी दूध को राज्यसभा में उपलब्ध कराया जाना चाहिए ,इस पर स्वाभाविक ठहाके लग गए|मंत्री बेचारे शरमा कर बैठ गए | दरअसल रोजाना की तरह शुक्रवार को भी प्रश्नकाल के दौरान हंगामा हुआ और सदन को १५ मिनट्स के लिए स्थगित कर दिया गया उसके पश्चात प्रारम्भ हुए हाउस में ऊंटनी के दूध पर भी ये रोचक सवाल जवाब हुए
