Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday directed the Director General of Police to register cases under the Disaster Management Act against
Opposition leaders and workers who have been staging dharnas in the state over the past few days.
At a time when people could not gather even for weddings and funerals, leaders and workers of these parties were behaving in a reckless manner, showing no concern for the safety and health of Punjabis, said the Chief Minister, adding that such behaviour could not be allowed or tolerated.
It may be recalled that even before the Covid restrictions in the second wave were imposed by the Chief Minister, he had announced that the ruling Congress in Punjab will not hold any political gatherings.

कांग्रेस की दिल्ली इकाई के अध्यक्ष अजय माकन ने स्वास्थ्य संबंधी कारणों का हवाला देते हुए पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है जिसे पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने स्वीकार कर लिया है।दूसरी तरफ कांग्रेस इ दिल्ली की सत्ता छीनने वाली आम आदमी पार्टी के कद्दावर विधायक अधिवक्ता एच एस फूलका ने भी इस्तीफा दे दिया है| दोनों का इस्तीफा उनकी पार्टयों द्वारा स्वीकार कर लिया गया है|सूत्रों के अनुसार १९८४ के पीड़ितों की उपेक्षा और सिख संहार के दोषियों को लेकर आप पार्टी के रवैये को लेकर पीड़ितों का मुकद्दामा लड़ने वाले फूलका ने पार्टी से भी इस्तीफा दियाहै |इससे पूर्व वे पंजाब में अपने पद छोड़ चुके हैं| दूसरी तरफ अजय माकन का आप पार्टी के प्रति विरोद्ध जग जाहिर है लेकिन पिछले दिनों से आ रही कांग्रेस और आप पार्टी के अंदरखाने समझौते से वे आहत थे| इसीलिए उन्होंने कांग्रेस से इस्तीफा दे दिया है|माकन 2003-04 के दौरान दिल्ली विधानसभा के स्पीकर चुने गए थे। मात्र 39 साल में विधानसभा के स्पीकर चुने गए माकन देश के सबसे युवा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष रहे।कांग्रेस के एक्टिव रहे स्वर्गीय ललित माकन के भाई हैं|
दिल्ली में साल 2015 में उन्हें प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी का अध्यक्ष बनाया गया था। प्रदेश में पिछले विधानसभा चुनावों में माकन ने सदर बाजार सीट से चुनाव लड़ा था और तीसरे नंबर पर रहे थे।
अजय माकन साल 2004 के लोकसभा चुनाव में नई दिल्ली सीट से सांसद चुने गए थे। इस चुनाव में माकन ने भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता जगमोहन को हराया था। इसके बाद 2009 के लोकसभा चुनाव में माकन ने इस सीट से भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता विजय गोयल को हराया था। 2014 के लोकसभा चुनाव में माकन भाजपा की मीनाक्षी लेखी से हार गए थे।
श्री फूलका ने 1984 के सिख विरोधी दंगों के पीड़ितों के लिए कानूनी लड़ाई लड़ी है।
पूर्व कांग्रेस नेता सज्जन कुमार को दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय ने सिख रोधी दंगा मामले में हाल ही में दोषी ठहराया। फूलका ने इस मामले में पीड़ितों की ओर से पैरवी की ।आप ने कांग्रेस के साथ गठबंधन की संभावनाओं को खारिज नहीं किया।

सीलिंग के ख़िलाफ़ 29 जनवरी को आम आदमी पार्टी ने संसद मार्च का एलान किया है जबकि एल जी से मुलाक़ात के लिए भी २९ जनवरी का ही समय माँगा गया है| पूर्व में आहत दिल्ली बंद में भी पार्टी ने हिस्सा लिया था|पार्टी के प्रवक्ता दिलीप पांडे के अनुसार
भाजपा शासित एमसीडी संयुक्त सत्र के माध्यम से सीलिंग को लेकर सिर्फ़ नाटक कर रही है, जहां तक प्रश्न कन्वर्जन चार्ज का है तो उसे एमसीडी बिना सत्र के कर सकती है और व्यापारियों को राहत दे सकती है, और मास्टर प्लान को लेकर सारे अधिकार उनकी ही शासित केंद्र सरकार के पास है ना कि एमसीडी के पास, केंद्र अध्यादेश लाकर मास्टर प्लान में तब्दीली करके व्यापारियों को राहत दे सकता है लेकिन अफ़सोस कि भाजपा इसे लेकर गंभीर नहीं दिख रही है
आम आदमी पार्टी के कई विधायकों ने सीलिंग के मुद्दे को लेकर दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल अनिल बैजल से आगामी 29 जनवरी को मिलने का वक्त मांगा है। ताकि दिल्ली के व्यापारियों को राहत देने के लिए उसके समाधान पर सार्थक चर्चा की जा सके।
आम आदमी पार्टी के मुख्य प्रवक्ता और दिल्ली के ग्रेटर कैलाश से विधायक सौरभ भारद्वाज के अनुसार ‘दिल्ली में इस वक्त व्यापारियों पर सीलिंग का हथौड़ा चलाकर उनके काम-धंधों को ख़त्म किया जा रहा है, भाजपा इस पूरे मुद्दे पर लगातार व्यापारियों से झूठ बोल रही है जबकि सीलिंग का समाधान भाजपा शासित एमसीडी और उनकी ही केंद्र सरकार के अधिकार क्षेत्र में है।
दिल्ली में मास्टर प्लान के अंदर तब्दीली करने का अधिकार डीडीए के पास है और डीडीए सीधा भाजपा शासित केंद्र सरकार और केंद्र सरकार के प्रतिनिधि एंव दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल के अधिकार क्षेत्र में काम करता है, ।
इसके अलावा इस सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी ने शनिवार को सीलिंग के ख़िलाफ़ सिविक सेंटर तक मार्च किया।
इस विरोध मार्च में तीनों एमसीडी में पार्टी के पार्षद, निगमों के नेता विपक्ष एंव आप पार्षद, एल्डरमैन और आप के पूर्व विधायक जरनैल सिंह एंव अनिल बाजपेई शामिल हुए।

In a sudden move, Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung today resigned amid a protracted bitter confrontation with the AAP government.
Without citing reasons, Jung’s office said he has submitted his resignation to the Centre.
65-year-old Jung, a former IAS officer, had assumed charge of Lt Governor of Delhi on July 9, 2013.
The reason behind his surprise decision is not immediately known.
“Jung also thanked the people of Delhi for all their support and affection, especially during the one year of President’s Rule in Delhi, when he got unstinted support from them and which in turn helped run the administration in Delhi smoothly and effortlessly,”
Jung also thanked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his association in the last two years.
As per sources “Jung would be returning back to his first love, which is, academics,”

Gomes joined the Arvind Kejriwal led party in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Of Delhi Manish Sisodia.
Gomes, had resigned from the service. His last posting was IG Prison.
Officer was booked by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a land scam. He, however, has refuted all the allegations.
Claiming that state administration is infested with corruption, he said “the administrative system which exists in Goa is nowhere in India.
He said”There is no end to corruption here. It is not the Chief Minister or any other Minister, but the situation is such that the lowest functionary in the government can also have its say on the decision making or governance,”

Metropolitan Court summoned Arvind Kejriwal in Arun Jaitley’s defamation case
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other Aam Aadmi Party leaders were today summoned as accused by a court in a criminal defamation complaint filed against them by Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley and asked to appear before it on April seven.
Besides Kejriwal, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sumit Dass also summoned Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpai to appear before the court.
The court has summoned them for the alleged offences under sections 500(criminal defamation) and 34(common intention) of the IPC.
The Judge Said “I am summoning Arvind Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpai for April 7,” the judge said while pronouncing the order.
Jaitley had filed a criminal defamation complaint against Kejriwal and the AAP leaders for allegedly defaming him in the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) controversy.

Kejriwal was in Punjab to visit the families of the two youths who were killed in police firing while protesting against the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in Faridkot.
During the brief interaction with media, Kejriwal said that he was deeply hurt due to incidents of sacrilege to Sri Guru Granth Sahib and following tension in Punjab and had prayed for the peace at the most sacred place where all wishes are fulfilled by the almighty.
He flayed the incident of opening fire on peaceful protesters by police in Faridkot.“It was unfortunate that two people lost their lives,” he said. He said the state government should not only immediately arrest the anti-social elements who had disrespected Shri Guru Granth Sahib but also give exemplary punishments to them.
“Committing sacrilege to the religious book didn’t benefit anyone,” he said, while adding that no one can live in peace after disrespecting holy scriptures and the people who did this heinous act should also think on it.” When asked about whether he had any apprehensions on the persons arrested for sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib by the Punjab police, Kejriwal said it was up to the state government and police to investigate and arrest the culprits.

Aam Aadmi Party[AAP]today ridiculed PM Narendra Modi’s “tall claims” on black money following the recovery of Rs 3,770 crore under the one-time compliance window and asked him to own up his “monumental failure” in recovering Rs 80 lakh crore, as promised.
Taking a dig at Modi’s pre-poll “promise” of depositing Rs 15 lakh in every Indian’s bank account, AAP said that the NDA government should consider putting “Rs 18.62” instead due to the massive shortfall in recovery.
.spokesperson Raghav Chadhha said that the government lacked “political will” to recover black money and urged Modi to acknowledge his “monumental failure” in putting Rs 15 lakh in every bank account as promised during the 2014 poll campaign.
Terming it as a “damp squib”, Chadhha sought to know the rationale behind government’s new black money law (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015 when existing laws were “stringent”.
“The PM in his Independence Day speech had said Rs 6,500 crore of undisclosed foreign assets have been declared under the compliance window of the new law. During election campaign he had promised to bring back Rs 80 lakh crore stashed abroad.
What explains the monumental failure in doing so?” Chadhha asked.
Chadhha said that the law is silent on domestic black money which he said makes up for more than 90 per cent of the total amount. “Only 10 per cent of the amount is stashed abroad.”
“Despite tall claims, due to lack of political will various investigating agencies are not cooperating with the SIT on black money that was set up as per the Supreme Court order,” he said.

उन्होंने तंज कसते हुए कहा, ‘‘प्रधानमंत्री लोकसभा चुनाव के दौरान दम ठोंककर 56 इंच के सीने की बात करते थे लेकिन अब वह सीना पिचक गया है।’’ सिंह ने मोदी के एक साल के कार्यकाल में साम्प्रदायिक तनाव समेत विभिन्न प्रकार की हिंसा की वारदात में इजाफा हुआ है। इनमें पंजाब के गुरदासपुर में आज हुआ आतंकवादी हमला, अरणाचल प्रदेश में घुसपैठ और कश्मीर में पाकिस्तान तथा दहशतगर्द संगठन आईएसआईएस के झंडे लहराया जाना शामिल है।
उन्होंने बताया कि प्रमुख घोटालों पर मोदी की खामोशी सवाल खड़े करती रही है, चाहे वह ललित मोदी प्रकरण हो, या फिर व्यापमं घोटाला। प्रधानमंत्री रेडियो पर ‘मन की बात’ तो कर रहे हैं लेकिन प्रत्यक्ष रूप से ‘मौन’ प्रधानमंत्री साबित हो रहे हैं।
